The taste of tea

This Japanese movie, "the taste of tea (by director, Katsuhito Ishii)" is about love, difficulty, humor, cooperation, and overcoming of a family's life. It's very hilarious, on other hand, it could be sad. It might realize you something important in your life.

LOVE! short hair girls!

I'm collecting some characters' stuffs. I think they interact with me. They are like me, and I'm like them. I mean I like some character who look like me, and when I see them I feel like I become themselves.

This lovely French girl, Madeline has beautiful orange color of bob hair style. She usually wears a yellow school uniform and a yellow hat with red ribbon--those are so cute--! I'm SO addicted to this girl, and am collecting her stuffs until now. And this notebook is from Japan when I visited Tokyo several years ago.

Look at this! What I found at flea market! It was her,  Madeline!! I should've taken her.. I know it's too late to regret it.. Awwwwwwwwwwwwww

This cute book is from my cousin, Yena, who knows my favorites well since we used to hang out our childhood a lot. This girl also has bob hair with a pink adorable bobby-pin. So lovely! <3

I think I love girls who have bob hair.. Here is one more girl with bob hair style. Kiki with a big red ribbon is a little witch takes a black cat, Jiji, along with her. If you didn't see Kiki's delivery service, you'd better to see it! You will love her--

Haha. I think I drew this drawing 1 year ago. Left one is Totoro (from Ghibli animation company that made lots of famous Japanese animation, such as Howl's moving castle, Totoro, Kiki's delivery service, and Mononoke hime.), and the girl on right side is a fashion blogger, Tavi.

I don't know why, but I'm so attracted by short hair girls. Oh, I just reminded of my Mom who didn't change her length of hair for over 10 years. haha. She still has short hair, so I might be influenced by her. I thought about my childhood, and then I didn't like to grow my hair that much. And I used to follow my mom to a hair salon, and got my hair cut just like my Mom. Still now, I love short hair girls!

MoMa

Last month I visited NY, and I headed to Moma museum. They had Picasso's exhibition, but I like to discover something interesting artwork that I don't know more. And Moma introduces a lot of modern art and I found some fun artwork there.

I bet many artists know about Andy Warhol's artwork. Yeah.. here we go-- his one of the famous artwork

They had an "Old school" exhibition. This picture was my most favorite one!

These videos were creepy and grotesque, but I couldn't stop to see them. They were so fascinated.
Haha. These drawings on tissues reminded myself. I also like to draw on them!
This egg was so beautiful. It was fulled by lots of stuffs and made me curious about inside more.

Moma allows people for free on Friday at 4 pm. I and my friend were lining there, but it was SO hot and humid. We could barely stand.. After 10 minutes.. my friend asked me to pay the ticket for me, and we moved to inside of Moma so quickly.
Anyway, if you are a student, don't forget to bring your student ID. You can get the ticket for $12 (it's originally $20).

I didn't have enough time, so I missed Guggenheim museum. I should check there next time!

Ara's Seafood Tteokbokki!!

Unfortunately, there is no Korean restaurants in Santa Barbara, so I started cooking since I came to the U.S. The interesting thing is that I didn't cook when I was in Korea.. --Actually I didn't know how to cook-- And now I can cook lots of Korean food, and some other food, such as pasta, and Okonomiyaki (Japanese food).

It's been a long time to cook.. I was lazy and there was no ingredients in my refrigerator.. After the JapanLA party, I stopped by a Korean market and bought some Korean food. And here is my special Korean food that is called Tteokbokki!! Usually, Tteokbkki comes with rice cake, some vegetables, red pepper paste, and other seasoning. But I put bunch of seafood and some noodle because I love them. It might be spicy to foreigners who are not familiar with spicy food, but it also tastes sweet.

If you have any opportunity to eat Tteokbokki, try it!!

to LA

Yesterday was June 4th Saturday! I was looking forward the event which is called "Kittens & Ice Cream" Art Show Party! So I left to LA from Santa Barbara where I'm currently living. It was a sunny day in LA. --I hated Santa Barbara's chilly weather of yesterday though..-- Anyway the sky began to darken as time went by, and I got Melrose Ave around 8 pm.

I could figure out where this shop was sooner because there were bunch of people were lining. I really wanted to go inside so quickly.. but I had to wait until the line ended up in front of me. While I was waiting I didn't feel bored that much since there was loud and funky music from the shop. At least I could got into the rhythm. haha.

I don't like pink that much. But that PINK drawing was SO attractive.. I wish I could have it in my room!

Yay! I found Brandon's artwork! Actually, he invited me to this party. He is living in OKC, so he couldn't come, but thanks to him for inviting me. The party was really cool! I love his drawings and other artwork.. They are so fun, unique, and original!

Lovely drawings were hung on the wall.

I felt like I was in Harajuku. haha.

And there were so many people outside of the JapanLA shop. I bet a lot of unique artists and people enjoyed that time. I should go to the shop again!

It became so dark and then I saw a beautiful sight: a house and the sky. Everything looked like disappeared into the dark, and the day as well.
